I like the umbrella. It's easy to use and provides nice shade on our small deck. I strongly recommend anchoring the metal base to your deck or patio if possible. We had a pop-up thunderstorm come through one day with high winds. Our umbrella was up and before I could put it down and secure it, the winds were gusting so strong that it blew the umbrella sideways lifting the base and weights partially up. I put 300 lbs. of sand in the weights thinking that would hold it down. That's fine when the umbrella is down. However, high winds could knock it over if it's up. One of the metal base bars was bent because of this incident. The metal is not very sturdy. I bent it back as good as I could but the umbrella now leans a little bit. I'm going to check with the vendor to see if they sell replacement parts. I did bolt the base to my deck and I'm sure that will keep it from lifting again.
